Is the 30-yard right for your project?
A 30-yard roll-off gives bulky construction and renovation debris more vertical space. DW’s diagram shows an 18-foot length, 8-foot width and 6-foot height. Explain how material will be carried or loaded and whether the rear door can remain accessible. Extra volume does not mean unlimited weight; compare the 20-yard option for a smaller project, and use the designated 16-yard setup for concrete or dirt.
Confirm loading and weight requirements.
DW publishes a 12-ton equipment maximum for this option. This is an equipment limit, not an included disposal allowance. Confirm the permitted load and included weight for your specific debris before booking. Only the 16-yard option may receive heavy material such as concrete and dirt under the current published guidance.
Get a complete rental quote.
Ask for the rental period, delivery and pickup arrangements, disposal allowance, applicable taxes and fees, extension terms and overweight charges. Explain your preferred date and access requirements. A quote request does not reserve equipment or confirm delivery.
Prepare the site and check the debris.
Agree on a placement area and discuss truck access, overhead clearance, gates, driveway conditions and other obstacles. Asphalt roofing material and shingles, tires, liquids, hazardous waste and other excluded materials must stay out. Review the materials and delivery guides before loading.
Questions before you rent
How much does dumpster rental cost in Houston?+
Your quote depends on the container, material, location and service requirements. Ask for the full price, including delivery, pickup, disposal allowance, rental time, tax and applicable fees. Request a current quote rather than relying on an older advertised base rate.
How long can I keep the dumpster?+
DW will confirm the rental period for your job when quoting. Explain whether you are planning a one-day cleanup, a weekend project or a longer renovation. Ask about the cost and process for extending the rental before the initial period ends.
What cannot go in the dumpster?+
Published restrictions include asphalt roofing material and shingles, whole used or scrap tires, liquids, paint cans, gases or compressed chemicals, carcasses, medical waste and hazardous waste. Describe the entire debris stream before booking and ask about any material you are unsure of.
